As the name suggests, Dosa Plaza is a food chain known for serving the renowned South Indian dish Dosa. The chain of restaurants was started by Prem Ganapathy in 1997 in Mumbai. It has been more than 2 decades since the first restaurant was opened, and in the last 25 years, the brand has opened more than 45 franchise outlets spread across the country. Setting up a franchise of Dosa Plaza is quite easy. The first thing that one needs is a unit space of nearly 800-1000 square feet for opening the restaurant. Along with that, one needs to pay a franchise fee of 8 lakh rupees. The franchisee’s fee allows running their operations for 5 years which is the franchise tenure. The revenue-sharing model is designed so that the franchisee gets an 85% share of the revenue. As a result, it becomes easier for the franchisee to gain a return on investment in a span of merely 2 years.
